Summary of Sermon on December 16,2012, part 2

Belief & Faith sermon,

part 2

The Chief Apostle continued by asking whether God’s ownership comes from the Spirit or from the soul that you are. Or is soul the mind of the spirit? The Holy Spirit goes to the soul for the soul is the mind of the Spirit. What makes us sin is the soul. Once the mind of the Spirit is wrong, the Spirit will do bad things. To correct the Spirit, you must correct the mind of the Spirit which is the soul. When the soul is full of righteousness, the Spirit will give out good things. What is wrong in a person is the soul which is the mind of the Spirit. Can the mind be fixed by water or by food? No, it can only be fixed by the Word as it responds to the Word: it responds to nothing else. That is why the Holy Spirit is the Word. God says honour your Father and your Mother so that your days can be prolonged. When you listen to your parents, you do what your parents tell you and that is proof that the Word is being given a chance in your soul.

The Word will change the soul. If you are not willing to listen when somebody is speaking, you cannot be saved. When we are speaking and you are sleeping, you loose salvation as that comes through listening.

The Chief Apostle then spoke about corruption in church and asked if people knew why there are corrupt people in church. Is God insane that He brought such people to this church. He knows that these people are here to test our faith. Jesus taught His Apostles and when He had finished, gave them a test. He took them to a stinking dog and they all closed their nostrils to the stench. It is like your officer who appears to be insane and you are forced to obey him as he is.. Who brought that officer. It was God who wanted to check if you are going to honour that officer. Jesus had no trouble with the smell, he just picked out a shining tooth and showed it to them.

David had many bad things, no one would approve of them but that never changed the fact that he was an anointee of God. If you come across an officer who has incorrect actions, love him for he is a creation of God and the purpose of God is good even though it appears bad.

If you can lift up a person who is a creation of God and leave his sins aside, God will Bless you, but if you take this person and look only at his sins, you will hate this person. If a person has sin, he can come out of the sin. If you hate something that can change, you will only loose. Your love is the magnet to attract the love of God that is within a stinking body. Do not throw away a person because of sin, a person can leave the sin because he sees that you love him but not what he is doing. When you have belief, you focus on the visible tings and love that person.

Having spoken of corruption, the Chief Apostle moved on to the rich, saying that if a person is rich, he attracts people who never liked him before. In order to reach his money, they have to love him. Women are good at that. They give all that you want in them and take what they want from you, your money. Once a person is a millionaire, people love him even more. The only reason for their love is to reach his money. It is the same when people are searching for God, they come and focus not on your mistakes but on what is within you. People of Salvation do not look at what is on the outside but at what is inside. That is why they do not really care about fleshly things. They focus on God and leave the flesh. Once you have faith, you do not walk in flesh but in Spirit. Once you walk in Spirit, Satan is offended and will say that you are foolish. He can condemn people with things that are seen, When you believe, your eyes are removed from you and you look only on the Spirit, and if you look on the Spirit, there is no death in you.
