Summary of Sermon on December 16,2012

Luke 2:14 (KJV). If you believe in people, you have belief, if you trust in God, you have Faith.

This is a topic of great importance and dealt with Faith not being for everyone, the relationship between God and man, corrupt people in the Church, the rich, the benefits of Faith.

This is the first part of the explanation given by Chief Apostle and President of TACC, Prof. Caesar Nongqunga in his sermon on Sunday December 16, 2012, summarised for the TACC web-site.

If one refers to Faith, as did Apostle Paul, then it means that you have belief in a person and in God. There is belief in people and in God. When you believe in people, that is belief, when you believe in God, that is Faith. When the Apostles speak of Faith, it has nothing to do with your belief in your leader whereas Faith means to have belief in the Holy Spirit. Your leader is something that you can see, but Faith implies trust in things that are invisible. If you do not have the Holy Spirit, then you have a problem for Faith comes through things that are not seen. You cannot claim to have Faith but you do not have belief.

When we speak of ‘God the Word’, we speak of something that is not visible. We cannot see the wind, but we know that it is there because we see the flowers and plants moving. That is the evidence that something is touching them to make them move, the wind. We do not see something but we trust its existence for we see its work. It is the evidence from the things that we see that assures us that God truly exists. God the Word created everything and if we see things, then we can be assured that God exists for He used a Word and a creation was made.

People who have Faith are people who can notice its existence, there are people who do not even notice Faith. They see the Power that God does to His people but do not believe that this Power is from God. They claim that it is other spiritual powers that God uses in Church to Bless His people. Such people are not able to see God for they are not in Spirit but in flesh. Only if you are in Spirit are you able to have Faith.

When your mind is of flesh, you cannot see Faith. That is why the Scriptures say “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (KJV) This means that you cannot believe in God if there is no Spirit. You cannot see spiritual things if you are not in Spirit. If you do not have the Holy Spirit, you do not have the eyes to see Spiritual things. In the Garden of Eden, gods made an image of a man, but this image could not move. It was only when the True God breathed His Spirit into this image that the creation could move. This means that it was a combination of two things, the flesh created by Gods and the Soul given to the Spirit. That is why we preach to the Soul not to the Spirit
